This unique Tour gives you the opportunity to explore the Cape of Good Hope from a very different perspective, whilst getting up close to the coastal and marine environments. The Tour starts with a visit to historical coastal village of Simonstown. Here you will spend 30 minutes getting to know the Sea-Kayaks, and learning basic safety procedures, before heading out into the tranquil waters of Simons Bay.
Look out for inquisitive seals, whales and dolphins, and if you are really lucky, even one of our resident great white sharks. Your next port of call is the Boulders Beach Penguin Colony, home of the rare African Penguin. Here you get the opportunity to see these fascinating Birds from up close, in their natural environment. After about 2 hours, you return to Seaforth Beach, in time for a warm cup of coffee or a cold drink.
Following snacks on the beach, you head to the Cape Point Nature Reserve, where there is ample opportunity to explore, from walks along the spectacular white sandy beaches to rambles over the rocky coastline. You can enjoy a walk up to the old Cape Point Lighthouse, then down to Good Hope Rock, the South Westernmost point of Africa.
En-route keep an eye out for eland, mountain zebra, bontebok, ostrich, chacma baboon, dolphins, seals, and whales. The pristine Fynbos vegetation found in this 7 700 hectare National Park is a mystery to many, as the plants flourish and flower all through the year, despite the harsh Climate.
PLEASE NOTE: As this type of Tour is heavily dependant on Mother Nature and adverse Sea and Weather conditions, we simply cannot guarantee that we will see all of the flowers, whales, sharks, seals, penguins or other wildlife on every Trip.
It must also be stressed that we do not feed, chumm or use other artificial means to attract the animals to the boat. Safety and consideration for both Guests and our Marine Life is the first and foremost priority.
