The central lounge, bar and dining room are under thatch and there is a swimming pool which has been landscaped into the rock face. Meals are served in the large dining room or on the deck overlooking the river.

The Zambezi National Park is located across the river, and Lion calls can often be heard at night.

Day 9

This morning, following your final morning breakfast and game activity, you will be departing Zambia for neighbouring Botswana where you will be staying at Elephant Valley Lodge.

Elephant Valley Lodge lies south of the Kazangula border crossing within the Kasane Forest Reserve which is adjacent to the Chobe National Park. The camp comprises 20 'meru' style luxury safari tents and can accommodate a maximum of 40 guests. Each of the tents features twin beds, en suite shower and toilet, mini safe and fan.

The lodge is unique for several reasons and amongst these is the fact that it is situated within a game rich reserve affording the guests wonderful sightings between our open Land Rover safaris into the Chobe and boat cruises along the Chobe River.

The camp perimeter is fenced to keep the elephant from moving through the camp, instead now they move around the camp boundary, along their well worn paths to and from the Chobe River. Your tent also ensures that you are able to hear the multitude of night sounds as you drift away with vivid thoughts of the experiences of your day on safari.

At Elephant Valley they have found that a morning cruise along the Chobe River provides a couple of distinct advantages they include the following; during the morning the river is distinctly less busy with fewer boats. This also permits a longer experience, assuming that sightings kept us busy, and they do not have to cut the trip short to get back before sunset. It does also permit a greater length of the river to be explored.

In the afternoons they have found that the Chobe National Park is conversely less busy and you are able to enjoy a sun downer along the river to capture the sunset on camera. It is also during the late afternoon that game becomes most active.

3 x nights Elephant Valley Lodge fully inclusive of meals, activities, accommodation, park entrance fees, drinks & snacks on each activity.

Day 12

Following your final morning breakfast, you will be transferred by road to Livingstone Airport for your flight back to Johannesburg.
